Abstract
Original Research
introduction :
Pornography addiction has increasingly been identified as a significant psychosocial and neurobehavioral concern in contemporary societies, affecting various demographic groups, particularly adolescents and young adults. The magnitude of this phenomenon is considerable, as empirical evidence obtained from international studies over the past decade indicates not only a growing prevalence of exposure but also the involvement of children at earlier developmental stages. The tendency toward pornography use is shaped by a wide range of psychological, sociocultural, and neurocognitive determinants and has been associated with alterations in electrophysiological indices, including changes in brain wave patterns. Given the documented role of lifestyle and behavioral interventions in modulating neural activity, the present study aims to investigate the impact of Regular Physical Activity on alpha band brain wave oscillations in individuals diagnosed with pornography addiction.

Methods:
The current research is a causal-comparative method. The statistical population of the present study includes all men with Pornography aged 18 to 35 in Urmia city in the spring and summer of 2023. At first, it was informed through a public call in virtual space to participate in the research. the number of 32 people with Pornography who selected based on the calls for research participation in cyberspace such as Instagram, WhatsApp, and groups of counselors and psychologists and according to Kor et al 's. (2014) questionnaire, were addicted to pornography had and were selected as the research sample using the Convinience sampling method also, the participants were divided into two groups: individuals with low levels of physical activity (n = 16) and individuals with high levels of physical activity (n = 16) and were subjected to brain recording EEG. Data were analyzed using independent t-test and SPSS 19 software.
Results:
The results indicated a significant difference in alpha waves between the two groups of men with pornography addiction who had high and low levels of physical activity (p < 0.05). Participants with high levels of physical activity showed higher scores in alpha brain waves.
Conclusion:
The results indicate that higher physical activity in individuals with pornography addiction helps regulate alpha brain waves, which may lead to improvements in their psychological and mental well-being.
